A Baby Gear Group branch owner is an independent business owner and owns 100% of their business. Branch owners run their businesses under a Baby Gear Group brand license, receiving training and strategic and marketing support from the brand. Branch owners are empowered to determine their own gear inventory, pricing, etc. They handle all customer inquiries and service, cleaning, and marketing to their local service area.

Being a Baby Gear Group branch owner is a flexible opportunity, and the time commitment can vary depending on your goals, location, and order volume. You are empowered to determine your own hours and rhythms. In general, most branch owners work part time, approx 5-15 hours per week.

The role is highly flexible and scalable. You can start small and grow at your own pace. Some owners even bring on help (family, friends, part-time staff) as their business expands.

Startup costs are relatively low compared to most small businesses. We recommend branch owners get started with around $1,000 worth of gear initially. You can build your inventory using gear you already own, secondhand finds, or donations.

There’s also a licensing fee of 10% of revenue, of which, $300 is due upfront. Overhead stays minimal: storage in your home, vehicles are usually your own, and cleaning supplies are everyday items.
